Paper Addict Collection: Holiday Treats

Are you addicted to patterned papers like I am? Do you want to have all the Stampin' Up! Designer Series papers but don't want to spend a fortune? I feel your pain! That's why I'm offering a new product called "Paper Addict Collections". Each Collection includes 24- 6" x 12" sheets of Designer series paper from 4 different Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Packs. And since these papers are double sided, you'll be getting 48 unique designs. The cost for this collection is $12.95 for my customers that will be able to pick up their collection from me at an event, or $16.95 to have it shipped right to your door. Shipping within the United States only, please.

This month I've chosen 4 Paper Themes that can be used for Holiday & Winter themed projects. In this Holiday Treats Paper Addicts Collection, you'll receive 6 - 6"x12" papers from the following Stampin' Up Paper Packs:
  • Ski Slope (from the Holiday Mini Catalog - page 12)

  • Frosty Day (from the Holiday Mini Catalog - page 21)

  • Bella Rose (Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book -page 168)

  • Holiday Treasures (Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book -page 170)
Please note that many of these papers can be used for non-holiday/winter themed projects. They just have colors that lend themselves well to these kinds of projects.

Since this collection is time sensitive, all orders have to be in by November 10th in hopes to get these papers to you by Thanksgiving. If I have enough orders before the 10th, I'll order the papers earlier to get them to you sooner. Please email me with any questions that you have.

October Scrapbooking

I had fun creating this month's scrapbook pages for my monthly class. It's always a treat to pull out the halloween papers and autumn colors for a change. This month's themes included Halloween, Fall, and a generic layout (which actually uses some Fall colors as well). I really can't explain what goes through my head when I'm designing these pages. The creative process is still quite mysterious. But you've probably noticed that my layouts have become very "square" in nature and this month I used very little stamping, probably because I don't currently have a lot of Halloween and Fall themed stamp sets. Therefore, all of these pages highlight some of the beautiful patterned papers that I've acquired over the past few months.

Simple Thank You

I made 10 of this card for a swap coming up this week with the local MOMS Club. I got the layout idea from an old weekend sketch challenge on Beate's Blog (WSC59). I love the layout so much I may have to repeat it! It's perfect for showcasing coordinating Designer Series paper.
Stamps: Pocket Sillouettes
Inks: Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy
Papers: Urban Garden, whisper white, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Nestabilities Scalloped Circle, Paper Piercer and template, White grosgrain ribbon
Notes: I used a special technique that I just learned to space holes evenly around a circle. You can find a tutorial on Beate's blog here.

October Technique Class: Fun Folds

This month's focus is on unique card folds including the Triangle Trifold, Gate Cards, and Joy Fold Cards. This was fun for me because I rarely stray to a non-standard card fold or size. The first card below is a Joy Fold card, and also an example of the Emerging Color Technique.

Stamps: Winter Post
Inks: Versamark, Chocolate Chip
Papers: Ski Slope DSP, Chocolate Chip, Real Red
Accessories: Real Red Grosgrain ribbon, Large Brass Eyelet, Little Felt Flurries, Clear Embossing Powder
Notes: This uses the Emerging colors technique by versamarking and embossing clear on patterned paper, then applying chocolate chip ink over everything. The patterned paper shows through the reindeer. The Reindeer piece is a flap that opens to the right and is held in place by the snowflake. The instructions for the Joy Fold Card can be found at:

The next card is a trifold card called a Gate card, with two side flaps that open from the middle.

Stamps: Pocket Sillouettes
Inks: Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss
Papers: Urban Garden DSP, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White,
Accessories: Nestabilities Scalloped Square, Paper Piercer, Boho Blossoms punch, Flower Fusion Too, Sanding block, Green Rhinestone brad
Notes: I sanded the edges of the DSP before adhering to the front flaps, and the Felt Flower holds the card closed. The Gate Fold card instructions can be found at

The last card is a Triangle Trifold card, and a fun little card for Halloween using the relatively new Halloween Designer Series paper called "Ghostly Greetings."

Stamps: Haunting Halloween
Inks: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, Lovely Lilac,
Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Ghostly Greetings DSP
Accessories: Black Gingham ribbon, blender pen, Gelly Roll Stardust Gel pen,
Notes: You can't see it in the picture, but I added some sparkle with the Stardust pen on the necklace charms and the buckle. The instructions for a Triangle Trifold can be found at
