Scrapbook Page & Card Combo

Here's a great idea for all you scrapbookers....try creating a card using leftover supplies from a scrapbook page that you've made. That's what I did with this page that I just created. I made a bunch of the embellishments for this page and had a few leftover, along with some extra ribbon and paper, so I decided to make a quick card with the extra supplies.

This pages uses a 12x12 sheet of Petal Patch double sided paper (retired from a mini catalog last year...summer mini I think). I don't usually use patterned paper for the background since I try to stretch my patterned paper as far as possible, so this was a treat. I used white and Almost Amethyst to frame in the photos. The blueberry embelishments use the hostess set "Oh, So Lovely" stamped in Basic Gray and colored in with Lovely Lilac. Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive markers. I used my circle and scallop punches to frame the blueberries in Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac. The flowered Rik-Rak adds a little extra (not sure who manufactures this). I added a title with my Best Friends Alphabet Lower in Lovely Lilac.
The card uses all the same ingredients along with a greeting from "Short & Sweet." I haven't made a card in a while, I've been trying to focus on getting some scrapbooking done. It's been torture because I just bought a bunch of Christmas Stamps that I haven't been able to play with yet!!! Once I get a few more pages done, I hope to have some holiday cards to share.

I got here completely by accident I don't know how I got here but so glad I did. Very pretty card, love that patterned rik rak, not seen that before!
