These are the cards that we will be making in my August Technique Class. The class will be held this coming Wednesday and it will be the beginning of my second 6-month series of technique classes. This month we are focusing on Brayer techniques. There are many techniques and we only touch on 3, but these are some fun ones!
This card uses the "Brayered Sky" technique to create a 2-tone background for the main image on this card.
Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Inks: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Versamark
Papers: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Glossy White, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Black Brad, Flower Punch, Black Embossing Powder. Black Gingham Ribbon
I'm not sure what this technique is called, so we'll call it Inked Cuttlebug Embossing. As it's name suggests, it requires applying ink to the Cuttlebug embossing folder before inserting the paper in the folder and running it through the machine.
Stamps: Wild About You
Inks: More Mustard, Pacific Point, So Saffron
Papers: Pacific Point, More Mustard, Old Olive, So Saffron
Accessories: Always Artichoke Grosgrain Ribbon. Flower Fusion felt flower, Saffron brad, Boho Blossoms Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
This card is made with another technique that I don't have a name for, so we'll call it the rubber band brayer technique. As the name suggests you wrap some twisted rubber bands around a brayer wheel, ink, and roll.
Stamps: Fabulous Flowers, Family Phrases
Inks: So Saffron, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Ridinghood Red
Papers: Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Gold brads, Photo corner punch
