Stamp & Scrap
It's been a while since I did a real Stampin' Up! workshop, but last week I did one that focused on Stamping and Scrapbooking. These are the projects we made. This scrapbook page uses Cameo Coral, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and So Saffron. All colors that I found in the Walk in the Park paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The Butterfly from "Great Friend" is stamped with Saffron ink on the Saffron background cardstock. Some Cream grosgrain ribbon was tied around the Kiwi Kiss strip. The Kiwi Kiss strip was texturized with small Polka Dots and a Texturz plate in my Big Shot. I used my Photo Corner punch to add a bit of green to one of the photo mats and the stamps used in the title block were from "Big Deal Alphabet" and "Happy Everything."

Crop for a Special Boy
I'm so excited to announce that I'll be hosting a Crop to benefit a local 8-year-old boy named Jacob Shell who is battling Neuroblastoma Cancer. So far the support for this little boy has been tremendous and I want to do more to ensure that this family is not stressed by the financial burden that this battle could cause. They have enough to be worried about.
So on July 18th, I'll be hosting a "Crafters Retreat for Jacob" at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glenville, NY. While I expect most of the attendees to be scrapbookers, I'm hoping that we'll have a variety of crafters taking part...stampers, quilters, beaders, and anyone else that needs table space, food, and creative company. We'll have raffle prizes, refreshments and a relaxing atmosphere so that all can enjoy their creativity while supporting a great cause.
The cost for the Retreat is $30 and it runs from 9am -5pm. Contact me if you'd like to participate or contribute in some way.
Can you please pray for Jacob and his family?
Thanks so much!

June Scrapbooking
This month it was all about summer at my monthly scrapbooking class. I also had fun using up some special papers I've collected but never got around to using.
This first layout uses the new Melon Mambo pink that willb in the new catalog coming up in July. I couldn't resist using it since it worked so well with the patterned paper. The other colors are Certainly celery and Bashful Blue. I also used the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge for the popsicle and the watermelon. The letters were done with the Taffy Alphabet (my new alphabet!).

A Day at the Park
Here's a layout that I recently completed of a fun day that I had with the kids at our local park and bike path. I used some Pear themed papers and embellishments from Storytellers Club. I know these pictures have nothing to do with pears but I just thought the paper and colors were pretty! Pears are a trendy thing now for some reason, so I guess it's ok to use pear paper as if it were floral paper, right?

Layout Challenge Winner
I'm excited to announce that Belinda is the winner of this month's layout challenge. She didn't have much competition on this one...you all must be so busy! What I love about this layout is that she turned the second page. This layout was used for my recent scrap-a-stack and I keep hearing rave reviews from the attendees with how pleased they are that both pages can be easily turned to suit the photos that they have. The stamped horse, twill tape, and brads add beautiful embellishment to these great photos. Thanks so much Belinda for sharing this with us!
